Class Descriptions:
Combo Classes: Our Combo Classes are the perfect introduction to dance for young dancers! Designed to build confidence, coordination, and a love of movement, these classes expose students to multiple dance styles while developing important gross motor skills, balance, rhythm, and creativity. Each class combines age-appropriate technical instruction with engaging games and activities, creating a fun, positive learning environment where children can thrive. Dancers ages 3–4 and 5–6 learn a special holiday routine for our winter performance, along with a ballet and tap dance for our exciting spring recital. Our 7–8-year-old Combo Class expands on these foundations by adding jazz, giving dancers the opportunity to explore three dance styles while continuing to grow in technique, musicality, and performance skills. Every class is designed to inspire confidence, encourage friendships, and foster a lifelong love of dance!

Jazz Classes: These jazz dance classes is designed for dancers of all levels, from beginner through advanced, and focuses on developing strong technical skills, artistry, and performance quality. Students build proficiency in jazz technique through progressive instruction in body alignment, coordination, flexibility, strength, balance, musicality, and expressive movement while mastering basic to advanced leaps, jumps, turns, traveling combinations, and fluid transitions. The curriculum explores a variety of jazz styles, including classic, Broadway, contemporary, lyrical, and commercial jazz, emphasizing dynamic movement, rhythmic precision, stylistic versatility, and seamless execution. Through structured warm-ups, technical exercises, across-the-floor progressions, and choreographed combinations, dancers develop confidence, endurance, control, and the ability to perform jazz movement with precision, creativity, and expressive artistry.

Ballet Classes: Our Ballet classes provide the foundation for every dancer, developing strength, grace, discipline, and confidence in a supportive and encouraging environment. Dancers learn proper body alignment, posture, balance, flexibility, coordination, and musicality while building strong classical ballet technique through barre work, center exercises, and across-the-floor combinations. Age-appropriate instruction helps students progress at their own pace, whether they are just beginning or continuing to refine their skills. Along with technical training, dancers develop artistry, poise, and expressive movement as they learn the beauty and elegance of ballet. Throughout the season, students gain confidence, improve physical fitness, and prepare choreography to showcase their accomplishments during our annual spring recital.

Pointe Class: Pointe class is designed for experienced ballet dancers who have developed the strength, technique, and alignment required for pointe work. Under the guidance of our instructors, dancers focus on proper placement, foot and ankle strength, balance, artistry, and classical technique while safely progressing their pointe skills. Instructor approval is required before enrolling in this class.

Tap Class: Tap classes teach dancers rhythm, coordination, musicality, and confidence while developing strong technical skills in a fun and energetic environment. Students learn fundamental tap steps, timing, sounds, and combinations while building balance, memory, and performance skills. Through age-appropriate instruction, dancers explore the art of creating music with their feet while gaining precision, creativity, and a greater appreciation for rhythm and movement. Students will have the opportunity to showcase their skills through performances during our annual recitals.

Acro Class: Acro classes combine dance technique with flexibility, strength, balance, and tumbling skills in a safe and supportive environment. Dancers work on foundational acrobatic elements including flexibility, conditioning, balance skills, and age-appropriate tricks while learning proper technique, control, and body awareness. As students progress, they develop increased strength, confidence, and the ability to incorporate acrobatic movements into dance combinations and choreography. Instructor approval is required for class placement to ensure each dancer is placed in the level that best supports their skills, safety, and continued growth.

Lyrical/Contemporary/Improv: Lyrical & Contemporary Dance classes combine technical training with creative expression, helping dancers develop artistry, confidence, and versatility. Students explore fluid movement, musicality, storytelling, floor work, and dynamic choreography while blending elements of ballet, jazz, and contemporary styles. Improv exercises encourage creativity, confidence, and personal expression, allowing dancers to discover their unique movement style and strengthen their performance skills.
