Owner/Instructor: Ronita Hackel started Center Stage Dance Academy in 2000. Ronita is trained in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Modern, Tap, Acro, Lyrical, Hip Hop along with other dance styles. Ronita keeps current in the dance industry by attending dance teacher conferences and classes regularly.
Along with a dance teacher and choreographer, Ronita has choreographed for musicals, taught at gymnastics and dance team camps. Ronita loves the opportunity to share her passion for dance with her students and enjoys the 'dance family' she has had the privilege to develop through all her students.
Instructors:
Greta Fritz: Greta has been teaching classes and a choreographer for our competition teams since 2017. Greta Fritz has been trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Pointe, Hip Hop, & Lyrical. Greta started Center Stage at 4 years old and grew up as a competitive dancer. Greta was also featured in a music video for Brooke Waggoner. Greta brings a great energy to the studio and everyone around her!
Michelle Hanson: Michelle is coming to Center Stage with 15 years of teaching experience with majority as a director of JFK in Detroit Lakes and coaching for the Laker Dance Team. She started her dancing at JFK in Detroit Lakes and joined the Laker Dance Team and Center Stage in High School. She is trained in Jazz, Lyrical, Acro, Precision Kick, Ballet, and Hip Hop. Working with kids is one of her greatest passions and she is so excited to be a part of the CSDA team! We are also excited to have Michelle to begin teaching some of our Acro and Hip Hop styles!
Gracee Smith (Traurig): Gracee just graduated with an elementary education degree from Mayville State University. She grew up dancing for Center Stage for 11 years and spent 6 of those years as a student helper in the combo classes. She is super excited to be back teaching again with her own classes with Jazz and Tap!
Rylee Moore: Rylee Moore grew up dancing at Center Stage since the age of three. She has been trained in the styles of jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, tap, acro, ballet, and pointe. Rylee is currently enrolled in The University of St. Thomas where she is studying to receive her degree in Psychology and a minor in Exercise Science. She is also a member of the Nationally awarded dance team at St. Thomas. We are so excited to have Rylee here as an choreographer and instructor in our competition program!
